Eide Ford's Employee of the Month: John Kuss

John Kuss – Eide Ford's January 2018 Employee of the Month

Each month at Eide Ford, we select one team member as Employee of the Month. This is someone who goes out of their way to do something that not many others are willing to do, is always looking out for the entire team and all customers, and embodies the Eide Philosophy.

John Kuss, a Shuttle Driver on our team, is our Employee of the Month for January 2018! 

It's All in the Details

According to Ryan Else, our Parts and Service Director, John's attention to detail is what makes him stand apart. 

"He's very thorough on the job and very detail oriented with pickup times for customers and getting addresses right," Ryan says.

"He keeps the car very clean and I've never had a driver who pays that much attention to the cleanliness. He comes in early to make sure it's shined up and is always willing to help out with little things without being asked. Those little things go a long way."

Way to go, John! Thanks for providing a great experience for our Bismarck-Mandan customers.

 

John Kuss, Eide Ford Employee of the Month

 

January 2018 Employee of the Month: John Kuss 

How long have you been at Eide Ford, and what does your current role entail?

I've been at Eide Ford since October 2017. 

I make sure that each vehicle is clean between shuttling customers and employees. I check over the windshield, mirrors, taillights – everything. Then I wait to shuttle customers or store employees around because they move vehicles between the Eide stores in town. 

What's your favorite part of coming to work each day?

Just being able to work again – I hadn't been able to work for 2.5 years due to having 5 spinal fusions. The most recent one was in May 2017, and I finally felt like I could be productive again so this is a "test job." It's actually an ideal job for me because it fits what I'm physically capable of doing.

One quirk is that Ford seats are comfortable for me! Being able to drive Ford vehicles for work is great because I enjoy them and they don't hurt my back.  

What's your dream vehicle?

Probably a Raptor, although I've never driven one. Or, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator with a 30-way adjustable seat and massage. I had the privilege to drive one for Eide a couple weeks ago, and that's the best seat so far for me!

I currently have a 2006 F-150 which is also very comfortable. If I could, I'd take that seat and put it in my house as a recliner. 

Who would you like to thank for this award? 

First, my Savior Jesus Christ for allowing me to work again. Without Him in my life, all I've gone through would be much harder. Also my boss Ryan, because he gave me this job and we get along well.
