This may not be the first time you've met our recent Salesman of the Month here on the Eide Ford blog, and perhaps you've had the pleasure of meeting him in person when you stopped into Eide Ford.
This month, we're recognizing Sales Consultant Nate LaChance as the Salesman of the Month for July 2018. While Nate originally hails from the Pacific Northwest, he now calls Bismarck home and strives to make sure that each Eide customer also feels at home when they walk into our doors.

How you ended up working in the auto industry, and why have you chosen to call Bismarck home?
I originally came to Bismarck for construction work. I didn't intend to stay here originally – I thought maybe a year or two. Then I ended up really liking Bismarck. Everybody out here is very hardworking and honest; you can't say that about most places.
I always wanted to work around a car dealership so I ended up here at Eide; that's the biggest reason I've stayed here. If it weren't for the people here and my job at Eide, I'd have done something different, so I can thank Eide for that.
What are some challenges you face in your work and things you've learned along with them?
The biggest lesson I've learned has been that if you promise something to someone, you have to keep your word and stay accountable.
As Salesman on the Month, what advice do you have for others (across any industry) who work in sales and interact with customers on a daily basis?
Be persistent and keep working hard. It doesn't matter how the day ends; every day is a new day. Come back to work, and do it again. Daily and monthly – keep working hard, meeting new people, and trying to make people happy over and over. You just have to come back with a clean slate every day.
In addition to excelling at your job, what things in life are most important to you?
The things that really matter to me are family and my three kids. I want to make sure they have a great life and can succeed.
What vehicle is on your wishlist?
I decided I'm going to get a new F-150 next year. I need the space for my growing family.

We're recognizing Nate as Salesman of the Month because he sold 22 cars in July 2018. However, being a rockstar salesman isn't just about selling vehicles.
